Nicola graduated from the University of Bristol in 2013, and worked for 2 years in a mixed animal practice in her hometown of Brighton. She then spent 3 months in South Africa working as a safari vet and at a penguin hospital, before moving back to Bath in 2015 to work as a hospital vet at Rosemary Lodge. In 2017, she moved to Mexico for 6 months to work for a charity, neutering the street dogs of Mexico City. She returned back to Bath Vets in 2018 to work primarily at Rosemary Lodge.
Nicola has a keen interest in emergency medicine, exotic species, wildlife and internal medicine. In 2018, along with Giulia and Heidi, she created 'The Together Project', which provides free veterinary care for the pets belonging to the homeless in Bath. Nicola volunteers her time to run free clinics at Julian House. In her spare time, Nicola sings and plays the flute in a local band, 'Giovanni L'immigrato', as well as running and gardening, art, travelling and hanging out with her 2 adopted cats, Calcaneus and Olecranon.
