IMPORTANT UPDATE 24th March 2020 – COVID-19
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on the 23rd March 2020, and subsequent new guidelines from the UK Government and our veterinary governing bodies, Bath Vets is now only open for urgent and emergency cases until further notice.
We will be implementing a closed-door policy with a telephone triage service prior to all appointments. For patients who are authorised to attend the practice, there will be some changes in how we handle these clinical examinations and consultations. This will be explained to you over the phone prior to your pet attending.
In addition to our emergency service, where possible and appropriate we will endeavour to continue to dispense repeat prescriptions of medication and food, subject to availability and a 48-hour order notice period (due to possible limited supplies and delayed deliveries).
Sadly, during these difficult times we will be unable to offer our usual home visiting service unless under exceptional circumstances with clear welfare grounds. Our out-of-hours emergency service will continue to run as normal; please ring our usual number 01225 832521.
Please understand that these are difficult decisions in unprecedented times; it is critical for us to safeguard our staff and the general public, and act responsibly in line with guidance from UK Government and our professional veterinary governing bodies, while still endeavouring to provide emergency care for our veterinary patients wherever possible.
If you already have appointments booked, we will be in touch as soon as possible to discuss how best we can assist you. In the meantime, if you are worried that your pet requires urgent vet attention, please ring us at:
Park Road Vets, Keynsham on 01179 339933
Station Road Vets on 01225 428921
The Chapel Vets, Melksham on 01225 702427
Rosemary Lodge on 01225 832521
Peasedown on 01761 435673
Our team will be working hard to respond to all your queries so please bear with us during busy periods.
Thanks in advance for your understanding and co-operation during these difficult times.
