Kate Richardson qualified from University of Edinburgh in 1996. Early on she recognised her passion for all things feline and after several years in mixed practice she started to focus on cats culminating in obtaining her membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in the subject of Feline Medicine in 2006 which was one of the only feline specific post graduate veterinary qualification at that time.
This has since been recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and Kate became an Advanced Practitioner in Feline Medicine in 2015. She moved to join Bath Vet Group in June 2017 as Senior Vet at the Bath Cat Clinic. She particularly enjoys geriatric medicine and dentistry (i.e. old cats and teeth!) But there isn't much about cats that doesn't interest her. In 2018 she was honoured to be invited to be one of the examiners for the Feline Medicine qualification that she achieved herself earlier in her career.
She lives in Wiltshire with her partner and daughter, 2 cats called Eric and Deedee, Daisy the Dalmatian and a horse called Sam. When she isn't caring for pets or her family, she enjoys camping, cycling and has started running with Daisy. Cooking is another passion and she dreams of being on Masterchef one day!
