Veterinary Nurse - Keynsham

The Role

Bath Veterinary Group are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their Keynsham Branch. You will be confident with the responsibilities of branch work as a sole nurse and keen to develop nurse clinics, carry out anaesthesia and be happy to help with the daily running of the surgery.

The branch role is 3 days a week and is currently combined with a day at our hospital to make the position full-time, however, we will consider part-time for the right applicant. You will also share a part in the 1:8 weekend rota. We offer a competitive salary for this role depending on experience.

About Us

We are in the popular town of Keynsham which benefits from shops within walking distance and a train station making it easily commutable from Bristol and Bath. We are a busy first opinion practice offering both consultations and operations daily throughout the week. We have a fully equipped operating theatre, x-ray facilities and practice laboratory. The team at our branch are very friendly and pride themselves on their welcoming service. We also benefit from the support of our 24-hour first opinion and referral hospital in Bath.

About the Team and Culture

Keynsham Surgery is Bath Vet Group's newest branch and opened in 2017 and is a Compassion Understood Platinum Accredited practice. The team consists of 2 vets and 1 nurse, supported by a receptionist each day. Bath Vets pride ourselves on our friendly working environment and our focus on staff wellbeing. Staff are actively encouraged to develop their skills and knowledge via in-house learning and CPD.

Applicant Requirements

This role would suit a Registered Veterinary Nurse with previous branch experience who enjoys client-facing and excels working in a close team. Applicants must be confident in performing nurse clinics and have good communication skills. This role is essential for bonding clients with the practice and therefore applicants must be willing to form a close working relationship with clients.
