Part Time Veterinary Nurse – based mainly at Park Road Vets, Keynsham

The Role

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse who is happy with the responsibilities of branch work as a sole nurse. We are looking for someone who will be keen to develop nurse clinics, be confident at anaesthesia and be happy to help with the daily running of the surgery.

The branch role is 3 days a week and is currently combined with a day at our hospital to make the role full time hours. Part time and full time applicants considered. This role includes a 1 in 8 weekend rota.

About Us

We are located in the popular town of Keynsham which benefits from shops in walking distance and a train station making it easily commutable from Bristol and Bath. Park Road is a busy first opinion practice offering both consultations and operations daily throughout the week. We have a fully equipped operating theatre, x-ray facilities and practice laboratory. The team at Park Road are very friendly and pride themselves on their welcoming service. We also benefit from the support of our 24-hour first opinion and referral hospital in Bath.

Park Road is Bath Vet Group's newest Surgery and opened in 2017. The team consists of 2 vets and 1 nurse, supported by a receptionist each day. Park Road Veterinary Practice is a Compassion Understood Platinum Accredited practice. Bath Vets pride ourselves on our friendly working environment and our focus on staff wellbeing. Staff are actively encouraged to develop their skills and knowledge via in-house learning and CPD.

Applicant Requirements

This role would suit a Registered Veterinary Nurse with previous branch experience who enjoys client facing and excels working in a close team. Applicants must be confident in performing nurse clinics and have good communication skills. This role is essential for bonding clients with the practice and therefore applicants must be willing to form a close working relationship with clients.
