Giulia was born in Italy and moved to the UK for her Veterinary training. She qualified at The Royal Veterinary College in London in 2011. During her degree, Giulia spent time in South Africa on a research project about parasites in dogs that are transmissible to their owners, which highlighted the importance of parasite control in our pets. Once qualified, she returned to the South African townships to volunteer for a charity that provides veterinary care for street dogs.
Giulia then moved to Kent to work at a small animal practice for three years followed by a few years of locum work around Hertfordshire and Lincolnshire. She has been working with Bath Vet Group since July 2016, initially as the Night Vet and is now the Senior Hospital Vet.
Giulia has a particular interest in small animal medicine and is enrolled on a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice. She is also involved in the creation of The Together Project; a charity providing free veterinary care for dogs belonging to the homeless in Bath.
In her spare time, you can find Giulia playing volleyball, running half marathons and dog walking. She lives in Bath with her two cats, Teddy, Freddy, and two dogs, Max and Pearl, and her husband!
