Andrew Chivers MRCVS

Founder of the original surgery at The Firs in Combe Down, Andrew was born and raised in Bath. He was educated in Bristol and at the University of Liverpool where he graduated in 1969. An initial period of small-animal practice in Yorkshire was followed by 2 years of dairy/equine practice on the Somerset levels, after which a small animal and exotics practice in Surrey was the scene of his activities. In 1972 he returned to Bath to set up practice in Combe Down.

For many years he practiced as a single handed clinician, after 20 years the practice was employing three veterinary surgeons covering all aspects of veterinary work.
