The Bath Veterinary Group was formed in March 2004 by the amalgamation of three local practices, all of which have been working closely together for a number of years. The aim of the expanded group is to enhance the quality of local veterinary services available in the local Bath area, whilst still retaining the same sense of community spirit.
The new group has broadband linked computer systems which allow effective communication and rapid recovery of patient records between different surgeries, 24 hours a day. There is greater access to a wider sphere of veterinary interests available without the need to travel, currently including internal medicine, exotics and dermatology. The sharing of equipment has meant we can offer clients a full range of facilities from endoscopy, ECGs and ‘in-house’ blood testing, to colour flow ultrasonography.
The group is run by directors Mr John Campbell, Mr Alex Gough and Mr Stuart Caton and assisted by consultants to the business, Mr Peter Wrench and Mr Andrew Chivers, both of whom have managed practices for over 30 years in Bath. All the staff involved in this venture, veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and support staff alike, live and work in the Bath area and are committed to the provision of high-quality client care and continuity of treatment in the city.
The group is responsible for providing an emergency service in Bath and the surrounding areas with an experienced veterinary surgeon and nurse available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
